From the Ganga to India’s highways
In 1925, Pt Gorakhnath Upadhyay established a ferry-services enterprise on the Ganga. The business eventually operated more than 250 ferries, steamers, launch ferries and barges, connecting communities and enabling the movement of people and goods.
As India’s transport infrastructure evolved, the Group evolved with it—moving from ferries and pontoon bridges to bridge tolling, state highways and national highways. Today, that legacy of public service continues across five business verticals.
